As the sun sets on 2023, we at HiPipo take a moment to reflect on a year filled with groundbreaking achievements, innovations, and collaborations that have propelled us to new heights. It is with immense pride and deep gratitude that we share these milestones with you, our invaluable supporters, who have been the cornerstone of our journey.
This year has been a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation. We were honoured to receive the prestigious title of the Best Financial Inclusion Organization in East Africa from Wealth and Finance International. This recognition goes beyond an award; it is a validation of our teams’ relentless efforts and the strong partnerships we’ve fostered, especially our continued collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Our commitment to driving innovation in the digital financial services market was recognized globally, as we were listed among the top 20 world-leading companies by the Global Business Leaders Magazine. Additionally, our dedication to empowering the youth was acknowledged as we were awarded the Youth Organisation of the Year by PSFU.
2023 was also a year of expansion and impact. We successfully launched the inaugural 40 Days 40 FinTechs initiative in Tanzania, marking a significant step in our mission to reach new horizons. This initiative, along with our recognition as the Best Partner in Supporting ICT Innovation, highlights our commitment to fostering inclusive growth and technological advancement.
Our participation in prominent forums like the Inclusive FinTech Forum in Kigali and Breaking Banks Europe’s 200th episode has allowed us to share our insights and learn from global leaders, further strengthening our resolve to drive positive change.
One of our proudest achievements this year has been the delivery of the fourth 40 Days 40 FinTechs Initiative, the fourth Women In FinTech Hackathon and Summit, the Women In FinTech Incubator, and the 10th Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit. These platforms have not only showcased innovative solutions but have also brought to the forefront the immense potential of digital innovation, digital financial services, and financial technology in transforming lives.
As we celebrated the 12th HiPipo Music Awards, we were reminded of the enduring impact we have on the creative arts industry, a sector we are deeply passionate about.
