Lamudi Uganda’s Country Manager Shakib Nsubuga said: “Most people in Kampala want to buy or rent property in locations that offer the convenience of the city such as shopping centers and other amenities. At the same time, they want the area to be quiet and secure. However because of this, properties in these locations tend to be pricey.”


This is situated along Entebbe Road and it is highly sought-after by people who mainly work in Entebbe. Lubowa is sought after because of its well-planned housing estates and convenient stores such as quality supermarket. All this is located 23 minutes from the center which makes it popular for those who want to get away from the hustle and noise of the city.

Kololo also has a number of schools and daycare centers. The area is popular because of its quiet and calm surroundings despite the large number of malls, bars, restaurants and hotels located there.


This area is located near Lake Victoria, and is a sought-after location to buy a house because the bungalows and townhouses are often situated in a gated community, offering plenty of security. Luzira also boasts of quiet residential communities within easy reach of a number of schools and convenient stores, which makes it an ideal location to buy or rent a house.


One of the best locations to buy a house, this area is also close to Luzira. This location is popular because it is situated far from the busy city but conveniently close to the commercial centers. It also has many private properties with fully furnished apartments for rent. This is a top location to buy a house for retirement or for investment.


This is a popular location in Uganda for the middle class. The residential neighborhood has a wide range of luxury apartments and houses in gated communities for rent and sale. Kiwatule also has good schools, a recreational center and is close to a highway, making travel to and from the city center easy and convenient.


This is an upmarket residential neighborhood with gated communities, housing estates and luxury fully-furnished apartments. Ntinda also boasts  one of the city’s foremost commercial centers with a large fresh food market, clinics, pharmacies and supermarkets.
