The spirit of residents in downtown Kampala, dumped by the morning downpour suddenly came to a bright start when MTN CMO Ernst Fonternel and his team showed up early morning to launch a new promotion dubbed 6 to 6 aimed at giving back to consumers.
The new promotion which allows consumers to get instant free 2 minutes of airtime between 6am to 6pm MTN to MTN calls. All consumers need to do is dial *188# to join the promotion. The offer applies to all MTN customers including Prepaid, Postpaid and Corporate Prepaid.
The launch which took place at Platinum House overlooking the Old Taxi Park was characterized with the MTN Chief Marketing Officer interacting with the taxi drivers and city residents, giving them free goodies including; airtime, t-shirts, water bottles and phones. Street kids and traders formed a protective ring around the CMO as he moved down into the taxi park giving out the MTN goodies before inviting residents to a cup of coffee with MTN officials.
“We are here this morning to show solidarity and MTN’s appreciation of the loyalty of its customers by giving back to you. We are hopeful that this new promotion will enable you achieve your goals in business and other endeavors as you enjoy free 2 minutes every day for 90 days” said Fonternel.
This new promotion comes on the heels of a similar promotion dubbed Good Morning Uganda which was launched last year in December which allowed customers enjoy a Free Minute every day to call their loved ones on MTN from 6am to 9am.
Fonternel described the promotion as a simple, innovative and value adding offerto MTN customers which is easy to understand and apply. He encouraged customers to register for the promotion to benefit from the Free Minutesto reach out and call their loved ones, friends and family while this promotion lasts.
