“South Korean rapper PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has become YouTube’s most viewed video of all time.
YouTube says in a posting on its Trends blog that “Gangnam Style” had been viewed 805 million times as of 24th Saturday afternoon, November , 2012, surpassing Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” which has had 803 million views,” Yahoo news reported.
Gangnam Style official music video has been on YouTube since Jul 15, 2012.
PSY has another hot single that preimiered on YouTube on 14th August 2012. It is a Gangnam style remix featuring HYUNA a talented Korean Diva. This video has at least 160 million videos.
Despite the broken record, Justin Bieber’s YouTube Channel is most popular with at least 3,140,063,910 video views and 2,407,807 subscribers compared to PSY’s official YouTube channel that has at least 1,167,314,743 Total views and 1,756,389 Subscribers.
Gangnam Style by Psy tops UK chart
In other developments, Rapper Psy became the first South Korean musician to reach No 1 in the UK. Gangnam Style broke into the top 40 two weeks ago at No 37, a month after its release, and made it to No 3 last week.
The video with the single has had more than 253m views in two months and became the most “liked” video on YouTube.
Psy, an established star in South Korea with six albums, taught Britney Spears his dance moves on the US TV show Ellen month.
